This notice applies to the website www.weridealps.it, to the “Site” and to its users, both visitors and travellers who purchase one or more trips (“Users”).
TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED
We may process the following personal data:
Access and browsing data (for example: information about the browser used by the User, pages visited, date, time and duration of each visit, as well as other parameters relating to the User’s operating system and IT environment).
PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS OF PROCESSING
BROWSING THE SITE
Personal Data may be processed to collect anonymous statistical data on Users’ use of the Site, as well as to monitor the operation of the Site. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in operating and monitoring the Site and obtaining data on its use, or your consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The Controller’s interest has been balanced with that of the User, who will thus be able to benefit from an increasingly efficient and optimized Site. Providing Personal Data is optional, but failure to provide it, by disabling cookies in the browser, may prevent you from accessing all Site functions. The Data do not persist for more than 36 months and are deleted immediately after aggregation (except for any need to ascertain crimes by the competent Judicial Authority). Our cookie policy is available in the “Cookie policy” section on our Site.
RESPONDING TO CONTACT REQUESTS
You can contact the Owner by email at info@weridealps.com, by phone or WhatsApp, or via the Owner’s Facebook® group, to request information or clarifications relating to Weridealps trips and the possibility of creating partnerships and, in general, in relation to the services offered; to respond to the various Users’ requests.
RESPONDING TO A REQUEST ABOUT A TRAVEL SLOT ("NOTIFY ME and FAVORITES").
The User may request to receive information about a trip or a specific slot and save it in their personal area. The legal basis for processing is the performance of pre-contractual and contractual obligations to which the Data Subject is a party (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing Personal Data is necessary to follow up on the data subject’s request. In case of failure to provide it, Weridealps will not be able to follow up on the data subject’s request to be notified about the confirmation of a travel slot. The data will be kept for the time necessary to achieve the pursued purpose.
BOOKING A TRIP:
Exclusively through the WE-RIDE.IT platform
BEING ADDED TO THE WHATSAPP GROUP FOR THE TRIP YOU ARE TAKING PART IN:
Users who have purchased a trip are added to a WhatsApp group made up of the other participants and the coordinator. The group is used to exchange organizational communications relating to the trip and is activated before departure. The legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to allow better organization of the trip and communications between trip participants and the coordinator. The Controller’s interest has been balanced with that of the Data Subject, who can stay updated through communications within the group. The data subject may object to processing at any time, either by leaving the WhatsApp group or by sending their request to the Owner. There will be no negative consequences for the user in case of objection to processing. The data will be stored for the time necessary to pursue the purpose described above.
SENDING COMMERCIAL/PROMOTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS
For direct marketing purposes, such as sending newsletters, information and commercial communications, updates on the latest launches, offers and promotions relating to Weridealps services, via newsletter, email or phone, also by automated means (SMS, social media). The legal basis is the data subject’s consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Providing it is optional. In case of failure to provide the Data, WERIDEALPS will not be able to regularly update the data subject on its offers and promotions. The data subject may withdraw consent at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included in the marketing email received or by sending an email to info@weridealps.com.
The data processed for this purpose will be stored and processed for 5 years, unless the Data Subject withdraws consent.
If the Data Subject has contacted WERIDEALPS, the SITE may contact or send the Data Subject commercial communications related to the request received. In this case the legal basis for processing is WERIDEALPS’s legitimate interest in promoting its services to interested persons pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Providing it is necessary to pursue the Controller’s legitimate interest, which is fairly balanced with the legitimate interest of the data subjects. Processing is not mandatory and the data subject may object to such processing at any time by sending an email to info@weridealps.com.
WERIDEALPS will delete the Personal Data processed to respond to requests within 1 year from the date the request handling is closed.
WERIDEAPS may contact the Data Subject again within that period.
SOFT-SPAM
The email address may be processed to send data subjects emails relating to the promotion of WERIDEALPS services similar to services already purchased. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller to promote its services to existing customers. The data subject may object to the use of their email address at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email received or by sending an email to info@weridealps.com. WERIDEALPS will no longer use the email address after 36 months from the date of the last commercial contact with the data subject.
USER SEGMENTATION
For sending personalized commercial communications based on age and the type of trip purchased. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to improve its commercial offering. The Controller’s interest has been balanced with that of the user to receive commercial communications aligned with their interests. Providing it is optional. There will be no negative consequences for the user in case of objection to processing. The data will be stored for 5 years from the date of the last trip.
CONDUCTING SATISFACTION SURVEYS
Users who have completed a trip will receive an email communication regarding a satisfaction survey. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Owner (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to assess and improve quality and satisfaction with the services offered. Providing it is optional. Failure to provide the Data, however, will not allow evaluation of customers’ expectations and satisfaction with the services offered by the Owner.
The Data will be stored for 36 months from collection and will then be anonymized and aggregated.
PUBLISHING DATA SUBJECTS’ IMAGES ON THE WERIDEALPS SITE OR SOCIAL CHANNELS.
Images/videos collected during the trip taken with WERIDEALPS may be published by the Owner on the Site or on social channels and/or in travel diaries. The basis for processing is the Owner’s legitimate interest in promoting its business (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The trip participant is informed about the taking of photos/videos both contractually and during the trip and has the option to refrain and request not to be photographed during the trip. The data subject may object at any time either by asking not to take part in shots/recordings, or by requesting removal of published content by writing to info@weridealps.com. The Controller’s interest has been balanced with that of the user to be part of group recordings. Providing it is optional. There will be no negative consequences for the user in case of objection to processing. The data will be stored for 5 years from publication of the images unless there is a request to object and remove the images.
DATA RECIPIENTS
The Data will be processed by employees and collaborators of the Data Controller, expressly authorized to process the Data based on instructions and after adopting suitable measures to protect the Data in relation to all the purposes indicated above.
The following parties may become aware of the Data in relation to the processing purposes provided for in this privacy notice and may process the Data both as independent data controllers and as data processors duly appointed by the Data Controller (the list of such processors and independent controllers is available upon request by email to be sent to info@werodealps.com.
Parties that carry out activities functional to achieving the above purposes, i.e. companies that provide IT infrastructure and IT support and consulting services, companies that provide data analysis and development services, as well as law firms, accountants and auditing firms; other companies that belong to WERIDEALPS, are part of it and that provide services to WERIDEALPS;
METHODS OF DATA PROCESSING
The Data will be processed in compliance with the principles of fairness, lawfulness and transparency, through manual and automated methods and by using paper and electronic means, in any case within the limits of the purposes of the data processing(s) established by this notice and, in any case, always ensuring the security and confidentiality of the Data.
Where the legal basis for processing is expressed consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
